What's New at GOMACO University For 2021

GOMACO University classes are available on most models of GOMACO equipment and will cover the maintenance and diagnostics on the GOMACO G+®, G22 and G21 control systems. A wide variety of 3D classes are also offered to help you understand the software, operation, and setup in order to pave smoothly and cost effectively without stringline. The 3D classes are taught by our specialized GOMACO 3D experts, alongside representatives from Topcon, Leica Geosystems', or Trimble.

Dr. Michael Ayers, who is well known in the industry for his knowledge of concrete mixes, will return to the University this year to share his expertise on concrete mix designs and quality control with the University students. The first part of the course will cover the basics of concrete mix design before moving into advanced topics including cement types and application, aggregates, admixtures, optimizing the mix, and troubleshooting. The second part of the course will involve information on achieving specified values for strength and durability, and more advanced test procedures will be demonstrated or discussed. The course will feature practical, hands-on experience in the behavior of paste and mortar, as well as testing.

GOMACO University has implemented new COVID-19 policies for the 2021 school season. Class sizes will be limited to 15 attendees to allow for social distancing in the classroom and shop. Masks are required at all times when at GOMACO University. Hand sanitizer stations will be available within each classroom and in the lunch room.
